In the morning she has a nice cup of milk and maybe some fruit for breakfast. She doesn't want to get too filled up. More on this in a minute. We walk the boys to school and usually meet our friends the Basiles on the way. On one particular morning the Kings Artillery were exercising the horses right down Abercorn Place. This is such fun for the kids to witness before staring their day at school.
Kate especially enjoys the horses riding by and often waves furiously until one of the stone-faced artillery horsemen wave back at her. Some give a nod, but it really takes some effort on her part to get one of them to smile and actually give a wave...crazy American kid!
After we deliver the boys to school she usually says, "time for coffee." No, I do not have my nearly 3 year old drinking coffee, but it is the trip to Starbucks that she and her buddy Tommy Basile enjoy. As I mentioned before, she does not fill up on breakfast at home because she orders a cup of fruit, a blueberry muffin, a lemonade and a lollipop. This is becoming a very pricey habit of hers. But, she and Tommy sit very quietly talking to one another and it allows me and Kelly Basile to talk and figure out where our next holiday should be...very important discussions!
Kate has various activities in the morning after coffee - on Mondays we go swimming; Tuesdays is reserved for errands or the library; Wednesdays we have football (soccer); Thursdays is Tumble Tots; and on Fridays we have French class. A very busy little girl!
After lunch we walk to school where she stays from 12:45-3:45 p.m. every day. Her best friends are twin boys Charlie and Ollie, Maya, and Rocky. Here she is at school feeding the classroom fish, "Fish and Chips." She loves school and adores her teachers.
Then after school the boys, Kate and I head to the park or back home for some playtime before dinner, bath and bedtime. Not a bad day at all for Miss Kate.
