Urban Camping

We started out in the hotel. It was a nice place to rest our heads, but started to get a bit stir crazy. We had a few pizza parties and breakfast in the room.

Here is our breakfast. Coco puffs and toast! Yummy!

PIZZA PARTY!!!! Wooo hoooo!

We moved in our house so the kids could have a bit more room to run around and play. It was pretty bare bones....no chairs, tvs or tables. We had lots of picnics and take out food.

We didn't even have a wine opener....good thing some of the good vineyards starting use screw tops!

We finally bought a couple of pans and ordered some groceries. Nothing like stir fry and old episodes of "The Office" on iTunes to pass the evenings.

The sleeping on the air mattresses got a bit old after awhile, but it was good that we got into our place. We were able to start getting the house in order and getting used to our neighborhood.

We also met one of our neighbors - not in the best of manners though. We were in our bedroom, wondering what these two buttons on this one wall outlet did. So being a 4-yr old trapped in a 35 yr olds body....I pressed them. Well - those buttons would be the panic alarm for our security system. Wouldn't have been too big of a deal - but we didn't know the code to turn it off. The kind neighbor came by to ask if he needed to call the police for us and if there truly was an emergency. So after about 40 minutes of the alarm screeching, we finally found the number for the security firm and they gave us the code. I'm sure it will be one of many stories of our bumbling....
