WE'RE COMING TO AMERICA!!

We are off tomorrow for a 3 week visit to the US. Our journey will start at 4:45 a.m. when the car picks us up to take us to Heathrow. We'll arrive to St. Louis mid-afternoon so we should be to John's parents' house shortly thereafter. We will spend a week with John's family in Millstadt, IL. I am looking forward to relaxing with John's parents, sisters, brothers-in-law, nephew and niece, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. Grandma and Grandpa have a lot planned for our little guys and our kids can't stop talking about playing with Cody in the lake. We have missed our dog Cody!

After a week with John's family we will drive to Oak Park/Barrington/Chicago for a week. It will be a very busy week of catching up with my family, our friends, going to Cubs games, parties and BBQ's. We cannot wait!!
Our last week state-side will be spent in Nags Head, NC with some really great friends of John's from college and their families. We are also taking two incredible babysitters from Barrington with us - the kids are most excited about having the Fox sisters with us at the beach for a week!

Our life in London has reminded me a lot of college - we have made some terrific friends and the friendships developed quickly and deeply. Some friends have "graduated" and aren't returning - and we will miss them!! The rest of us are heading to our respective homes for the summer and will see each other again in the fall when school resumes.

The words of Neil Diamond keep coming to mind.....
Far
We've been travelling far
Without a home
But not without a star

Free
Only want to be free
We huddle close
Hang on to a dream

On the boats and on the planes
They're coming to America
Never looking back again
They're coming to America

Home, don't it seem so far away
Oh, we're travelling light today
In the eye of the storm
In the eye of the storm

Home, to a new and a shiny place
Make our bed, and we'll say our grace
Freedom's light burning warm
Freedom's light burning warm

Everywhere around the world
They're coming to America
Every time that flag's unfurled
They're coming to America

Got a dream to take them there
They're coming to America
Got a dream they've come to share
They're coming to America

CHEERS!!
